T-Systems Slovakia has obtained for the education of their employees nearly 1 000 000 euros from the ESF

May 12, 2010
Within the ADAPT project, T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. has obtained a non-repayable financial contribution in an amount of 956,185 EUR from the European Social Fund, from the operational programme – Employment and Social Inclusion, for the support of general education of company employees. The total cost of the project is 1,593,636 EUR: the non-repayable contribution from the ESF represents 60% and the remaining part of the costs will be financed by T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. from their own resources.
T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. manages and co-finances the “ADAPT – Increase the employment adaptability of their own employees via education” project. The aim of the project is to create and maintain employment places via the support of company development, by increasing the adaptability of employees and developing their skills through general education. The specific aim of the project is to achieve a higher level of education, adaptability and employment potential in T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. employees.
During the 20 month implementation of the ADAPT project, from May 2010 to the end of December 2011, T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o. will provide general education in the form of training, tuition, courses and workshops for 948 employees. This will take place in the Košice offices as well as in the areas of training suppliers. The education consists of general programmes and educational courses in the area of information and communication technology, social-communication skills and language skills. It is designed for three groups of employees – executive, administrative as well as for supervisors.
By undertaking the training, employees will increase their ability to perform work activities. The project will contribute towards maintaining their jobs and, at the same time, will increase their adaptability - the ability to stay and find their place in the employment market. Thanks to the general nature of the training, T-Systems Slovakia s.r.o itself will be able to react flexibly to their customers’ requirements as well as to accept new challenges in the area of information-communication technology.
