ABB, a specialist for energy and automation technology, and T-Systems will develop solutions for intelligent power grids. German law states that the amount of power from renewable resources is to be raised to 30% by 2020. However, the increasing number of decentralized and regenerative energies will lead to a more complex distribution network. In the future, power consumption needs to be based more strongly on fluctuating power generation, otherwise efficient operation of the overall system will not be possible.
